When it comes to 3D printed construction ICON is the biggest company in the game. I got to sit down with their CEO & Cofounder Jason Ballard to dicuss their latest and greatest project House Zero designed by Lake Flato Architects and completely owned by ICON. Doing a project completely in house allowed ICON to pursue efficiencies and techniques to their hearts content rather than appeasing stakeholders like other construction projects often have to.
The lessons learned from this project will benefit the affordable housing units they will be building this year and into the future.
