Is Tim Russert's Death A Reaction To McClellan's Testimony?

My prayers are with Tim Russert, his family and friends. He did the best he could with what he had to work with and did an outstanding job, building one of the best news teams in the business.

I ask, is there a connection between Tim Russerts death of a heart attack, even if stress related, and the upcoming testimony of Scott McClellan in the Valerie Plame congressional hearing hearing? I'm not implying suicide or murder, just questioning motivation and results. If Scott McClellan mislead the American people, what did the American press do and why?

The great American patriot Tim Russert, who testified in the Scooter Libby trial about outing a CIA agent was obviously impressed with McClellan's book and work.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- NBC's Tim Russert, the last prosecution witness in I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby's perjury trial, testified Wednesday he did not inform Libby of CIA operative Valerie Plame's identity, as Libby has said.

Libby, the former top aide to Vice President Dick Cheney, told FBI investigators and a grand jury he first learned Plame's identity from Russert during a conversation on July 10, 2003. He later recanted, saying a note he found had jogged his memory, and that he initially heard the name from Cheney about a month before.

Russert was asked by Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald whether the two discussed Plame. "No, that would be impossible because I did not know who that person was until several days later," Russert said.

Asked whether Libby told him about Plame, Russert responded, "No."

Rather, Russert said, Libby called to complain about comments anchor Chris Matthews had made about him on MSNBC.

"If he had told me [Plame's identity], I would have asked him how he knew that, why he knew that, what is the relevance of that. And since [it was] a national security issue, my superiors [would] try to pursue it," the moderator of "Meet the Press" said.

Russert added that there would be some question whether they could broadcast the information, "because that would be a significant story.""

I wonder how Tim Russert felt about McClellan's upcoming testimony re Valerie Plame. Did it stress him?

"Former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan, whose scathing memoir about his time in the Bush administration sent waves through Washington D.C., has agreed to testify before the House Judiciary Committee, a senior committee official told The Huffington Post.

McClellan's book "What Happened" detailed the "propaganda campaign" that led up to the Iraq war. His hearing is expected to focus heavily on the outing of CIA agent Valerie Plame, an episode that McClellan has said was driven by political motivations from within the Oval Office. But the committee could press the former press secretary on other matters within its jurisdiction, including the possible authorization of torture by administration officials (though it remains to be seen how much knowledge McClellan has of that topic).

Earlier on Monday, Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers sent an letter to McClellan requesting his testimony."”

If the great journalist Tim Russert had put together a connection between 9/11 as an inside job, the march to the Iraq War, outing a CIA agent and the current administration.........

Or maybe it's just like the government says in its quick report of the cause of death, he just got sick without warning, had a heart attack and died. Who has access to his reporters notes?

Help Folks Still Affected By Katrina, the Survivors

All these years later and many people are still suffering from the environmental disaster called Katrina. The government still does not have a clue how may folks really died as a result of that storm.

I urge those running for the office of President of the United States, Senators Obama, Clinton, McCain and others, to address the situation the folks dealing with the aftermath of Katrina and help them get back on their feet. Based on results, this is a group of Katrina Survivors. They have a lot to teach the rest of us.

A hemped society would help with everything from the projected medical problems resulting from toxic exposure to the trailers and other environmental problems, to building affordable housing using hemp materials, to helping folks replace toxic wardrobes and fixtures with hemp material, and let's not forget the boom it would add to the local economy if the NOLA bar scene could add hemp smoking parlors. All could add an economic boom to the area and bring homeless people off the streets.

Duh! Six years later and the problem of World Trade Center Illness has not been solved.

The EPA lied and people are dying.

Neither the EPA nor the White House has been brought to justice to answer for their crimes against humanity, i.e. the city put on lock down, forcing the people of New York to breathe the draino quality air.

All this time and first responders and residents still do not have the health care they need. Rather than dealing with what happened and what folks are dealing with, Senator Clinton's strategy was to study the problem.

People have been exposed to a long list of toxic substances that we already know cause cancer and other problems. Therapies including nutritional, hydro and hemp should be recommended to strengthen immune system. Nutrition strengthens organs, hydro (distilled water) to clean out toxins as much as possible and hemp, to reduce stress and stop tumors.

When one looks at the history of this country, we have done and allowed some pretty foul things.

A real preacher has the courage to listen to the Lord because wisdom erases karma.

Look at it based on results.

As a nation, we cannot continue to murder, torture, rape, jail innocent folks, hate, etc. and expect continued blessings. We cannot pretend not to know the 9/11 - 19 lucky Arabs story makes no sense and restore the whole truth. The military was on stand down and professional pilots claim they could not have done the Pentagon flight path.

There is a reason behind our failing economy, health care system in crisis, children afraid to go to school, police brutality, polluted environment, etc. The responsibility is with We The People. The reason is the dross that comes from our nation's greed that says it's ok to go to war with people who did us no harm.

Rev. Dr Wright's anger is not all about race, other than the human one. By the time of Rev. Wright's 2001 speech, the EPA had already lied to the people of NY/NJ/CT that the air was safe to breathe and the water safe to drink. The policy of the City of New York put Manhattan on lock down rather than evacuate the area. The government had dammed the people of the tri-state area to the risk of World Trade Center Illness, from which folks are dying. I'm sure I was yelling a lot worse words than what Rev. Dr. Wright said as I was considering the millions of people exposed to the toxic soup called World Trade Center Dust.

If we can't talk about the problems we face from our hearts too, where there is both love and fear, and think the solutions all the way out, we are doomed to repeat the dramas of the past. We must leave room for folks to speak their minds, especially when they are speaking truth.

The only thing I don't agreee with Rev. Dr. Wright about is that it was the US government that damned America. Not God. It is the US people who, based on our actions, will restore, expand and share the blessings.

We cannot continue to do wrong to folks, including ourselves, and enjoy God's Blessings. It's a stupid construct destined to fail.

With unity, as proposed by the man who has my vote to be the Sixth Black President of the United States, Barack Obama, we can not only solve our problems, but create a better world.

We can restore and amplify God's Blessings by doing the right thing, unify and heal.

“Black voters are heavily represented in the 94th Election District in Harlem’s 70th Assembly District. Yet according to the unofficial results from the New York Democratic primary last week, not a single vote in the district was cast for Senator Barack Obama.

That anomaly was not unique. I've got to give it to many in the broadcast media for telling great lies with straight faces. Rather than deal with what's really going on in these elections, the media folks are shaking their heads wondering how they could have been so wrong. It must be difficult to pretend not to know on camera with a straight face. From 19 lucky hijackers on 9/11 to the latest election results, it's the best acting class I've ever seen. I miss the days of journalism in the mainstream media.

I find it difficult to comprehend that in this new age of great, constructive change, based on real election results, two of the three presidential candidates, Clinton and McCain, are leading members of the congressional/military/industrial complex that keeps us in a state of war rather than peace. Both have already voted for the next war, let alone the last two. Killing innocent people does not make us safer Senators Clinton and McCain.

Clinton’s 3 am phone call ad is a joke. I’d rather have Senator Obama answer the phone at 3 a.m. than Senator Clinton did at 9 a.m. on September 11, 2001.

When the call came in that New Yorker was under attack, the city was put on lock down. Then when the buildings came down, New Yorkers were exposed to known carcinogens from the exploded World Trade Center. Senator Clinton was silent as a sleeping kitten in the face of the EPA saying the air was safe to breathe and the water safe to drink on 9/13/01. Did you hear her say anything at the time?

First responders knew the government was lying, but the senator was not listening to them. New Yorkers were told to be strong as they worked on in the toxic dust.

Rather than demanding that the area be evacuated immediately, the city was on lock down and the folks there forced to breathe, eat and drink the toxic dust.

All these years later, the folks in lower Manhattan are getting sicker. The dying began in 2002 and is radically increasing in numbers. When the report came out that the White House told the EPA to alter the safety elements in the report, where was her call for reparations checks for folks affected with World Trade Center Illness? Why do sick people have to march to Washington to try to get some help? Isn’t that her job? And when will she have the courage to hold congressional hearings on the information regarding if 9/11 was an inside job…or just save us some time and look at the evidence herself?

In my opinion, Senator Clinton, you should be ashamed of your response on 9/11 and 9/13. It best demonstrates how you would handle the 3a call. Why didn’t you stand up to the EPA and challenge the lie? If you can’t stand up to the EPA within a crisis like 9/11 that happened in your state, how can I count on you to stand up to the other world leaders?

And we’re to believe she is one of the leading candidates for president based on her qualifications. This has got to be another stolen election.

The question is what to do about it.

First step is to talk loudly. Contact everyone and demand integrity be restored to the election process.

All candidates need to be able to debate as long as they are in the race. The exclusion that Dennis Kucinich went through in Vegas was just plain evil, evil, evil (live backwards). We must get the devil (lived backwards) out of the courts and the elections by restoring truth and wisdom to policy making. Like Harriet Tubman said “Go Forward.”

The commercial airwaves belong to the people. During presidential campaigns 5-10% of commercial airtime should be divided equally among all registered candidates at no cost. Of course the media could make ad revenue on the source shows.

All votes need to be treated with the respect we use to give a dollar back in the 70’s, when it had some value. Votes must come complete with a paper/digital trail so they can be traced from the voting booth to the national count. It's time for all citizens take responsibility for our votes.

That which is done in secret is easy to corrupt. Votes need to be public. Let voting be what a person stands for publicly regarding policy. It would restore integrity in the voting process.

Computers with Excel spreadsheets can keep a simple vote count posted on the internet. The computer system already installed at libraries would work as polling places. On line secured like at the bank voting should also be an option.

We have a long to do list, with the ability to get it done if we just work together. Life is just long enough to have a really good time when we work as a chorus, a member of the band.

We are part of a grand and glorious world. If we begin with forgiveness we can work together to solve our problems.

When one of the wisest people in the world, Willie Nelson, says there is something wrong with the 9/11 story, it's better to listen than to say his joints are too fat.

Alex Jones revealed that you have not yet begun to even look at what happened on 9/11 beyond what was presented on television where 19 lucky Arabs ran 4 planes into 3 buildings and the ground on a day when the military was on stand down.

They were so good that they even knocked down a building (WTC Building 7) they didn't hit.

Please consider having a conversation with Alex Jones presenting the evidence like thermite found at the site, demolition angle cuts in the support beams, the pulverization of the buildings, they did not fall, the lies from the EPA that the air, water and food were safe, followed up by the revelation that the White House altered the safety report.

World Trade Center Illness is killing people now. PLEASE. Consider the cause. If they had the best interest of the people at heart, those who served and lived there would not be fighting for the most basic of services.

Not another stolen election!

Smells like the same folks who fixed the voting for GWB fixed it for their loyal partner Bill Clinton. I know I'm jaded but on election night I was cupping my mouth to keep from screaming at the television set ANOTHER STOLEN ELECTION, a subject I've written about in the past.

Reported problems with "not enough paper ballots", reports of voting machines arriving that still had problems with accurate counts, it stinks. Rather than ask questions, the media is saying they read the people wrong, again.

The parallels are frightening to the Bush election drama, down to long voting lines in some areas met with 'we're out of paper ballots.'

In a race this close, how did they count the paper ballots so fast? Were the paper ballots used in the heavily Obama favored areas and other machines used where the folks who where cheering her on voted?

"Something happened over the past 24 hours" MSMBC's Morning Joe said on the morning after the shock. It's like 'you want me to believe what?'

I am to believe that New Hampshire voted for the two most industrial / military / congressional complex candidates, people who still vote for the war in Iraq, approved going to war with Iran, were SILENT as the head of the EPA told folks in the NY Tri-state area that the air was safe to breathe and the water safe to drink on 9/13, still believe the 19 lucky hijackers story, anti-hemp and are clearly last century's leadership left overs. Their chants of march to war still ring in my ears.

And this is change?

Hillary Clinton and John McCain are Industrial Age leadership. We need Information Age leadership in this, the Information Age.

Time will tell the truth about the "projected" wins of Hillary Clinton and John McCain in New Hampshire.

If they got it honest, then I give up. The country is doomed to more of the same stupidity like more war and a health care system where people pay for their health care or do without, just like now. The Lakota Indians are teaching the rest of us how to save ourselves. Like Gandhi said "Do not participate in anything you believe is evil." What the United States did and is doing to the American Indians (and the rest of us) is evil.

America's Titanic economy is only a reflection of how worthless we've become. War for oil, food for fuel, nature illegal, corrupt government, genetically modified foods, all these stupid policies have consequences.

It's time for a value added process, starting from within.

I was trying to explain a picture in a book about slavery to my 8 year old granddaughter. She asked why the slaves didn't just walk off the plantations. Of course I explained about plantation brutality, paddy rollers, re-arrest with a new slave master, and Jim Crow.

The core of her question stuck with me.

Violence solves nothing but we can take our power back from man made "masters" or "experts." Unlike slavery and Jim Crow days, we have thought tools, brain mirrors, that can show us the big picture and help us find our role in it to support the highest good.

Maybe we all should follow the Lakota Indians lead and take our freedom back based on broken government agreements, and become what my brothers, the great singers Thomas and Tarmo Urb call "Citizen of Sun."

Chauncey Bailey Questions Knawing At My Soul

Chauncey Bailey did his best to let folks know what's really going on.

At the time of his murder, Chauncey was also working on a story about police corruption in Oakland according to his editor.

"Oakland Post Publisher Paul Cobb has said Bailey was investigating the bakery's bankruptcy and other financial doings as well as stories about police corruption. Cobb has denied telling police - as a detective's notes indicate - that Bailey was probing the bakery's role in "murders and other felonious activity." Witnesses report that the killer fled the scene, not ran into the bakery after the shooting to hide the gun. The police raid justification was 'they just happened to be going in the bakery in a pre-scheduled raid' and "found" the gun.'

The day after Chauncey's family cleaned out his apartment, a family member reported that his computer was stolen out of the back of an old car they had it in overnight.

I confess I'm jaded.

I thought Gary Webb and Hunter Thompson were as bad as it could get.

The whole truth is not in yet.

If the gun was found in the bakery, why did the shooter have to leave, only to return and hide the gun close to where the murder happened?

When did he/gun return to be "found" the next day by a pre-scheduled raid?

Did anyone put the janitor up to killing the reporter, if it was him who did it?

What was in the police story about corruption that Chauncey was working on at the time of his murder?

Without his home computer, will the publisher reveal what's in the newsroom computer, Chauncey's last stories.

Could the story that contributed to his murder be in there?

Inquiring minds need to know.

Gary Webb - Suicide Or Murder?

Gary Webb was an Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter. He was an American Hero who wrote a series of articles linking the CIA to crack cocaine trafficking in Los Angeles. He died December 9, 2004 with two gunshot wounds to his head. The coroner said they were self inflicted.

In the mid 1990’s a series of articles written by Gary Webb were published in the San Jose Mercury News about why so much crack appeared on the urban streets of America in the mid 1980's. It contained answers to the question of how so many people, what seemed like the best and brightest, were suddenly addicted to the deadly drug.

“According to the San Jose Mercury News, (Webb’s Report) Nicaraguan Contras, run by the CIA, delivered tons of cut-rate cocaine to a young Los Angeles drug dealer named "Freeway" Rick Ross. Ross, a street-wise drug dealer of mythic reputation, turned the cocaine into crack and supplied the Crips and Bloods street gangs, which saturated the market with crack and used the profits to arm themselves with automatic weapons.

The Crips and Bloods developed chapters throughout the west. Ross later moved to Cincinnati and helped spread the crack epidemic across the country. Cocaine was supplied to Ross by Oscar Danilo Blandon Reyes, former leader of the guerrilla army named the Fuerza Democratica Nicaraguense (Nicaraguan Democratic Force) or FDN.

Blandon used the millions of dollars paid to him by Ross to buy weapons and equipment for his anticommunist army that unsuccessfully tried to overthrow Nicaragua's Sandinista government in the 1980s. "It is one of the most bizarre alliances in modern history: the union of a U.S.-backed army attempting to overthrow a revolutionary socialist government and Uzi-toting 'gangstas' of Compton and South Central Los Angeles," the Mercury News reported.”

Gary Webb was the author of the articles explaining how crack took over urban America so quickly. To me he is an American hero because he brought the truth to the American people at great cost to himself.

The case of the death of Gary Webb has all the ear marks of a murder, not a suicide, with a government cover-up possibility. In case you feel the language is too strong, check out what happened to Webb, whose book, Dark Alliance : The CIA, the Contras, and the Crack Cocaine Explosion, looks deep into Iran Contra. Webb's book provides documentation that the U.S. government during the Reagan years was responsible for the explosion of crack in the 1980's. Webb said he had more information to reveal.

Gary Webb was a journalist. Something was done to verify the material he presented. It's called the Iran Contra Affair.

Freeway Rick in Los Angeles, who is in jail for his role, has admitted to coordinating the efforts. "There are no poppy fields in Harlem," is a line from the movie “New Jack City” that still is true.

The suicide story goes that Webb shot himself twice in the head after leaving a note for the moving men. As a reporter, words were important to him.

If he was going to commit suicide, would he have left a note to the moving men that read, "Please do not enter. Call 911 and ask for an ambulance."?

People ask for 911 when they are trying to live, not with the intention to kill oneself strong enough to shoot themselves in the head twice with a 38.

If his determination to die was so great that he shot himself twice in the head, he would have saved 911 a trip and asked for the coroner to be sent. As a writer, I assume he was a man of words and truth was important to him. He risked his life for it, and lost it.

I’ve witnessed the effects of crack since the 1980's and have over the years lost many folks to the pandemic no matter what I did. Elected and appointed officials refused to deal with the subject in Harlem, treating it like they were treating AIDS.

Crack was introduced in a gentle way. It usually happened when a person was over their head in an emotional situation, like the death of a loved one, and was casually offered crack as a way not to feel all the pain in the moment. Or as a party favor shared by folks who thought the host was their friend or family.

Most did not understand what it was the first time they hit it. Within a few days, addiction would set in. Another customer, another contributor to the Iran Contra fund.

Many reported that the only time after the first few free hits they got free crack again, was when they were trying to quit, or until that notion passed.

The only folks I know who broke the addiction did so through the Lord. The rest are hopelessly lost, still.

From The Nation: "Webb's tale is a sad one. He was on to something but botched part of how he handled it. He then was blasted and ostracized. He was wrong on some important details but he was, in a way, closer to the truth than many of his establishment media critics who neglected the story of the real CIA-contra-cocaine connection. In 1998, a CIA inspector general's report acknowledged that the CIA had indeed worked with suspected drugrunners while supporting the contras.

A Senator named John Kerry had investigated these links years earlier, and the media had mostly ignored his findings. After Webb published his articles, the media spent more time crushing Webb than pursuing the full story. It is only because of Webb's work--as flawed as it was--that the CIA IG inquiry happened.

So, then, it is only because of Webb that US citizens have confirmation from the CIA that it partnered up with suspected drug traffickers in the just-say-no years and that the Reagan Administration, consumed with a desire to overthrow the Sandinistas in Nicaragua, allied itself with drug thugs."

From the Portland Independent Media Center: "A quick reiteration of the official obituary waffle is as follows: reported first, a suicide with multiple wounds to the head, then a suicide with a wound to the head, then there's a speculated shotgun wound to the face, by Mike Ruppert, because of a verbal report, given to Ruppert from the coroner's office implying that Webb's face was beyond recognition , and finally 2 wounds to the head with a .38 caliber revolver.

Incidentally his gun was kept in the nightstand next to his bed. It was his Dad's gun. Nice touch of detail here. But what does it tell us? Maybe, Gary was concerned, because he had been the recipient of death threats? Maybe that's the REAL reason he had a gun in a drawer next to his bed. According to an informative and revealing article /audio segment, on Alex Jone's Prison Planet website, Gary did indeed have something to be very worried about: Ricky Ross, one of Gary Webb's primary sources had spoken to Gary in the days before his death.

Gary told Ricky that he had seen men scaling down the pipes outside his home and that they were obviously not burglars but 'government people'. Gary also told Ricky that he had been receiving death threats and was being regularly followed. It was also mentioned that Gary was working on a new story concerning the CIA and drug trafficking. Moreover, why was there so much confusion about the method and number of wounds? Was it that difficult to sort out? Or was something else going-on? I really liked the potshot in the final obituary about the feverish conspiracy theorists on the internet who had been calling the coroner's office, demanding to know the number of wounds Webb ACTUALLY sustained. Now trying to determine factual details based on confused reports makes you a conspiracy theorist. Move on folks, nothing to see here! "

The Media Awareness Project has listed an article from the San Francisco Bay Guardian explaining the terror Webb was living with in this interview. "...Then the Mercury publicly disowned the story-without ever giving Webb or readers a convincing reason why. The paper's editors had encouraged Webb in his research, but in the firestorm that followed "Dark Alliance"'s publication they retracted their support for the series. After the controversy, the Merc, which is owned by media giant Knight-Ridder, exiled Webb from its Sacramento bureau to the police beat in Cupertino. Webb left the paper and expanded "Dark Alliance" into a book of the same name. Just published by Seven Stories, it reinforces Webb's investigations with newly uncovered evidence. But the mainstream media are ignoring this new evidence too: the Post, the New York Times, and the L.A.

Titnes have all ignored Webb's book-no reviews, no news stories, no coverage at all.

But as Rep. Maxine Waters (who wrote a strong introduction for the book ) told me, "Gary Webb has uncovered one of the dirtiest little secrets of the Reagan administration -that we, as a government, introduced a drug to America's inner cities that is literally killing thousands of kids, and that we did it purely for short-term political gain in support of a cause that didn't deserve our support in any way. For reporting that, Webb lost his job. But the book provides vindication."

We interviewed Webb by telephone while he was in Seattle promoting his book.

Bay Guardian: Did you do much new reporting and research for the book after the series ran?

Gary Webb: A lot of stuff came out after the series ran. We got 3,000 pages of new documents from the L.A. Sheriff's Department's investigation that was just amazing. Probably 90 percent of the book is new.

BG: What were your most interesting or unexpected new findings?

GW: Some of the most interesting is the stuff the Mercurys News chickened out on and wouldn't run. What was going on in the DEA's office in Costa Rica, where the U.S. drug agents were supposed to be investigating drug crimes but were either looking the other way or, as a customs investigation found, were trafficking drugs themselves. This conspiracy went farther than the CIA. It was so liberating to have the chance to lay out everything you have in context and explain to people why it matters.

BG: How did you get the new information?

GW: FOIA requests, tips, and the CIA Inspector General's January report. And anytime you do a big story people come out of the woodwork, and we had a number of those --specifically this fellow Enrique Miranda, who was an aide to drug lord Norwin Meneses.

BG: One of the main criticisms of the series was that you didn't have a smoking gun. Do you think you have one now?

GW: When you're dealing with the CIA, you're lucky to find any f*cking paper at all, much less a smoking gun. You're never going to find a CIA memo that says, "Go sell crack in L.A." So you have to gather as much evidence as you can, take a good hard look at what you've got, and a legitimate conclusion can become very obvious.

BG: Why do you think the mainstream press --from your own paper to the Washington Post, the L.A. Times, and the New York Times -- went so far out of their way to discredit your series?

GW: Because it's a very dangerous story. It makes people think bad things about their country and their government. Newspapers will let you think bad things about a certain politician, but when you start questioning the foundations of our democracy they say, "He's a troublemaker, a zealot, a maniac."

BG: Were there any valid criticisms that you went back and reconfirmed, or any holes that you subsequently filled?

GW: Sure, absolutely. I've said all along that some parts of that series should have been explained more fully. It was accurate but incomplete. What I tried to do with the book is show all the other evidence that we couldn't get into the newspaper, or were actually prohibited from writing for the newspaper. Initially it was a problem of space, but in the end it was self-censorship on behalf of Mercury News management.

BG: Do you think the decision was made in Knight-Ridder's super-headquarters, or was it strictly Merc management?

GW: I don't know, but I do know Knight-Ridder has backed the decision all the way. I think the thing that frightened them the most about my story was that suddenly there was this whole reactivation of activist black groups getting together and demanding some political changes in Washington. And I think, honest to God, that they were more scared by the Senate Intelligence Committee hearings than anything, when hundreds of citizens actually showed up to watch their government in action and started hooting at the antics they were witnessing. It scared the living hell out of them.

BG: So what happens next? Do you hope Congress finally moves to do a full investigations?

GW: I think we may actually create enough pressure to force the government to release the rest of the reports we've done on this. The public has to get riled up, though, or the government won't do anything. I've been told that the key 600-page report on this, the one that contains the secret agreement between the Justice Department and the CIA allowing the CIA not to report drug trafficking, will never be released, will never be declassified. I don't imagine the CIA will ever be very eager to let that one loose."

Here's the final piece for why I believe Gary Webb's death was a possible murder and a probable cover-up.

The Sacramento County Coroner's Office website says: "The Sacramento County Coroner's Office is mandated by the California Government Code § 27491 et seq. to determine the circumstances, manner, and cause of sudden or unexplained deaths in Sacramento County.... When a death appears to be from natural causes, the cause of death may be available after 11:00 a.m. the morning following the death. However, when the death is the result of a homicide, suicide, automobile accident, and in many natural deaths, the cause of death will not be available for several weeks because the forensic pathologist will order toxicology tests. This does not delay the release of the body."

Yet, in the case of the death of Gary Webb the Associated Press reported: "Gary Webb, Reporter Who Linked CIA to Drug Sales, Dead at 49 The Associated Press Published: Dec 12, 2004 SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Gary Webb, a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter who wrote a controversial series of stories linking the CIA to crack cocaine trafficking in Los Angeles, has died at age 49.

Webb was found Friday morning at his home in Sacramento County, dead of an apparent suicide. Moving-company workers called authorities after discovering a note posted on his front door that read, "Please do not enter. Call 911 and ask for an ambulance." Webb died of a gunshot wound to the head, according to the Sacramento County coroner's office."

I received an e-mail from "From The Wildnerness:" in response to my questioning, which is where the first report of shotgun use came from.

"Gary Webb knew very well that police offcers cannot declare a homicide or suicide crime scene until the victim is pronounced dead. Police officers cannot pronounce death. Only doctors and paramedics.

Therefore the logical step is to always contact paramedics first and they are the first to enter the secne after a body is discovered. It's simple."

Without access to the official reports with supporting documentation, I really don't know if it's simple. How can anybody know?

Like any good reporter, I look at who benefits most when something like this happens.

Webb was about to get rich from his book. A sitting congress person wrote the intro. He had just sold his house so he was probably sitting on some cash. Even if he had nothing, money was coming.

He was an in demand speaker who finally was stepping on stage to talk about his work. In other words, he was a man with a purpose. Suicide makes no sense here.

If he just spoke about what was proven in Iran Contra, he had plenty of material to work with. The flaw is not with the truth.

What information did Gary have about folks in the Reagan administration and crack that was new? Where are they now? Why would anybody want to murder Gary Webb?

Did Peter Jennings die of World Trade Center Illness?

World Trade Center Illness is one of those things that demand we look at both sides of the coin, the cause and the effect. I've been looking for a straight answer about what type of cancer did Peter Jennings have. If you know, please leave a note on this blog.

I know the media is saying lung cancer, but was it on the internal (small cell) or external (large - non-small-cell). 



Peter Jennings was one of the many heroes of 9/11, reporting on the drama of the day for 16 hours straight. As a person living in New York City at the beginning of this century, he was exposed to many of the toxins from the WTC. Despite the government theory that the dust from the WTC magically stopped around 14th Street, in reality it traveled as far as the winds could carry it. Paper from the buildings were found as far east as Long Island.

If Jennings had small cell lung cancer, then it was probably from smoking. If he had non-small cell cancer, then that's caused by chemical exposure, like what happened as a result of the pulverized material from the WTC.

I think there is a possibility that Jennings is the first big name personality to die from WTC Illness.



This is just a theory based on chemical and other toxic materials from the WTC that he and others in the area were/are exposed to and their known impact on health. Not rocket science.

I can't find anywhere the real reason he passed, just the general catch all phrase "lung cancer."

Yet it seemed so fast, like squamous cell cancer.

I think, mostly due to the silence around the type of lung cancer that Jennings had, that he possibly got his lung cancer from exposure to the chemicals from the demolition of the WTC.

I've been suspicious of Jennings cancer based on my mother in love, Edith Akuna, passing in April, 2005 from squamous cell cancer on the exterior of her lungs.

Squamous cell is usually a skin cancer, but it can happen on internal organs.

Edith was a smoker too and I initially assumed that her lung cancer was from that. But then I learned that internal squamous cell cancer does not come from smoking, it comes from industrial grade chemical and other toxic material exposure on internal organs.



When the buildings fell New Yorkers were put on lock down. There is no way around it, the EPA lied and there was danger in the dust. The dust from the pulverized buildings and materials inside include according to the WTC TOXIC MATERIAL LIST FROM Natural Resources Defense Council -NRDC REPORT: Building Materials (1.2 million tons), Jet Fuel (thousands of gallons), Dioxins, Mercury from computers and light bulbs, Asbestos (300-400 Tons), Concrete (424,000 Tons), Fiberglass, Lead from 50,000 Personal Computers - (4 lbs. lead ea. or 200,000 lbs. of pulverized lead released into the air), Main Frame Computers (300), Wire and cables (Hundreds of miles) Transformer Oil contaminated with PCB's (130,000 gallons), to name a few.

People in the area breathed, ate and drank the chemicals. It was on their skin, in the water they bathed in. On the toys their children played with. In the curtains they looked through as they redefined their lives.

"Another possibility is that Jennings had late stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) or a very aggressive type of NSCLC, such as large-cell undifferentiated carcinoma, which accounts for about 10% to 15% of all NSCLC. This aggressive cancer can be found in any part of the lung and it carries a very poor prognosis. " From Medpagetoday.com

Many rescue workers are already getting sick, and others in the area are experiencing reduced vitality shall we say.

Was Jennings cancer a normal, small cell cancer or a squamous (non-small cell) cancer? If it was regular cancer, then that makes the point no less valid. People in NY, NJ and CT have been exposed to known carcinogens and the clock is ticking.

Whether I’m correct or not regarding Jennings, we’ve got work to do. 




I've been writing the City of New York and finally got a response.

I told them that their strategy of waiting to see what happens was incorrect because by the time they found the problem, it would be too late.

From: Robert M. Brackbill, Ph.D, M.P.H Principal Investigator World Trade Center Registry NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene He wrote about the World Trade Center Health Registry (April 4, 2005):

"We will be doing epidemiological follow-up including re-surveying enrollees and measuring incidence of diseases that take longer to develop by using cancer registries and death certificates. Follow-up will be very important for our being able to ascertain the presence of such problems you describe, which warrant further investigation. If adverse health effects are identified at any point during the 20 year follow-up of registry enrollees (of which we have over 71,000), a comprehensive description of those findings will be posted on our website and communicated through the press and directly to health care providers." With all we know about the results of exposure to toxic material like asbestos, benzene, etc., they are waiting to see if there is a problem which “warrants further investigation” so they can write a “comprehensive description of those findings.”

What the !#%&. I’m not accusing the medical community of malice. Just being good business people developing customers.

Rather than stress means to reduce the chance of developing cancer like early detection, proper nutrition, medical hemp, etc., they say they’ll let us know if something develops.

We don't need a description of what’s happening. Common sense addresses that. There is much information already available about the results from exposure to those materials.

What is needed are health strategies for people to minimize their risk of getting sick from the exposures. The time to address this issue so something could be done has just about passed.

Here’s what I think needs to be done.

1. Regular health screening and treatment needs to be available at no cost for all exposed, beginning with those who don’t have any health insurance.

Since that group is most likely to not have seen a doctor recently, and may be too poor to afford a healthy diet, clean water, etc., I believe they are at great risk to develop cancer.

2. Legalize hemp and tax it at 20% to cover health care costs and other social programs.

With billions of dollars of marijuana sold every year, the tax could be a substantial revenue source.

3. More research needs to be done on how to effectively deal with these cancers. Consider “Sharks Don't Get Cancer : How Shark Cartilage Could Save Your Life” by William I. Lane and Linda Comac.

I’ve posted on line for free a copy of Niro Markoff Assistent’s book WHY I SURVIVE AIDS. The second part of her book has great exercises and life style suggestions for reversing disease. She healed herself from HIV with ARC back in 1986.

Her book was originally published by Simon and Schuster, but then Simon and Schuster was purchased and the option on Niro’s book dropped.

4. Consider the old Water Cure from the book BACK TO EDEN by Jethro Kloss. The problem is the toxins in the body, so a solution may be to keep ones body, inside and out, as clean as possible. Distilled water draws more toxins and minerals, so take a mineral supplement or add more mineral rich foods to your diet should you switch to a cleaner water like distilled.

5. Demand action from the elected and appointed officials now.

6. Talk with local health care folks about the real dangers from exposure to toxic materials.



7. Get to the truth about what really happened on 9/11. Broken and burned buildings are one thing, pulverized toxic material, quite another.

8. Incorporate hemp and hydrotherapy into healing strategies. Check out Richard M. Davis' USA Hemp Museum as a starting research point. I put up a page called "Apply Medical Marijuana to World Trade Center Illness".

9. Pray and meditate. Then share your conclusions too.

If Jennings death was from WTC toxic exposure, then he would do for WTC Illness what Rock Hudson did for AIDS. There are still folks walking around like they don't have a clue this is going on.

Caroline Myss in her book “Anatomy of the Spirit : The Seven Stages of Power and Healing” speaks of “Wisdom Erases Karma.” It’s time to wise up on this issue.

Those responsible for 9/11 were also responsible for telling the EPA to alter the safety report and put the city on lock down, forcing the people to be exposed to the toxins.

If you have not done so already, go to reopen911.org or do a search for "9/11 was an inside job." One of the many issue they address is a piece on the toxins from the WTC. There you will also see the evidence that 9/11 WTC, buildings 1, 2 and 7 (which was not hit by a plane) all fell in the same style, that of a controlled demolition, making the air the consistency of Drano.



In conclusion, for the above reasons I think that Peter Jennings may have died from World Trade Center related toxins, and thousands more are in grave danger as a result of the controlled demolition known as 9/11.

Chauncey Bailey on NAM

A great journalist was murdered on the streets of Oakland, CA. Nobody seems to know why, only that it was probably a hit. His name is Chauncey Bailey. He was my brother-in-law, my journalistic hero, and a man cut down in his prime.

As this interview demonstrates, there are people of great class and talent ignored by main stream media for decades while men without answers hog the attention of the money media.
Al Sharpton and Armstrong Williams are the men of my generation who got the mic on the news. The world did not appreciate him enough. A pearl of a man he was.

Chauncey fought for truth be it in Oakland or Detroit. If there was a truth to be told that would help the community he was serving, he got it out in a way folks could easily understand.

God knows Chauncey's work and has finally given Edward R. Murrow an equal in the realm of heaven. His work survives him and will be serving as a journalistic standard for decades to come.

Kucinich in '08 - On Gay Marriage - CNN/YouTube Debate

Congressman Kucinich is for freedom, rare in these evil times.

In this post 9/11 lie, we are suppose to exchange freedom for the illusion of safety.

Congessman Kucinich during the debate took a stand on the freedom to love whom one chooses. For those against love or who insist on controlling who other people love, this may be the wrong thing to say.

But for those of us who love this country and the freedom it holds, follow Willie Nelson's lead and support Congressman Kucinich for president in '08.

With Kucinich, we no longer have to choose the lesser of two evils for president. Folks my age, over 50, know what I'm talking about.

Ron Paul vs. Denis Kucinich - Vote Kucinich

Since 9/11 was an inside job, it’s safe to assume anyone who had anything to do with empowering the forces behind it will be rendered ineffective come this ’08 presidential election. Giuliani and McCain, seen as front runners in the past, should just hang up their campaign hopes on the toilet paper roller.

The decisions to not challenge the EPA’s claims that the air was safe to breathe, the water safe to drink at the time the claims were made; or the dynamics behind voting for and supporting the Iraq War, are up now. Clinton, Edwards and others may not survive the results of their actions or inactions as 9/11 Truth comes to the forefront of the conversation, led by the Firefighters Union in NYC. I’m sorry is not always enough.

Straight out of the military/congressional part of Eisehnower's farewell address, Ron Paul was a 70's supporter of Ronald Reagan, the one who failed to fund early AIDS research and introduced crack into the Black community for a slush fund called Iran Contra. Ronald Reagan was “the front man” for the neo nazis in charge when they took over openly in 1980 and allowed the hostages to be released after he took office. Prescott Bush, the president’s grandfather, was censured by congress for being Hitler’s US banker. This is public record.

Paul's early support of Ronald Reagan helped open the door for no to low AIDS funding for whatever reason, and crack into the Black community (Iran Contra) in the 80’s. So many healing, brilliant souls were slaughtered as a result of those decisions about under funding AIDS and introducing crack to people when they were at their weakest, like the end of a relationship, the death of a loved one, an innocent party favor promoted as used by the cool. The gang system in Los Angeles was created to market crack and keep fear alive in the population. Tookie Williams was executed for a reason that had nothing to do with the charges against him.

With AIDS and crack, ancillary lives in the millions were also shattered due to a loved one’s experience with either situation.

Given the ravages from Reagan, I see where Ron Paul’s racist label came from. The results of their actions or inactions, knowingly or not, are still impacting.
